The guys from Mindjet emailed me the other day.  They asked that I provide them a detailed case study for them to use during a panel about Mind Mapping at Office 2.0 in San Fran.

Turns out that Chuck Frey had published a 2nd Edition of his eBook on Mind Mapping software and one of my maps from UsableWorld is featured on page 87. Thanks Chuck!

picture 15 Tips & Strategies for Mind MappingThe book is a comprehensive, easy reading, overview of Mind Mapping with plenty of examples of how to do it properly.  I really liked Chuck’s comprehensive links to other websites and PDFs about mapping [only a few of them didn't work.]

Of particular interest was his suggestion to map all of your mind maps, for anything, onto one huge map for good knowledge management and recall.

Reading this book has given me the inspiration to further document all the maps we use in my customer experience business. At Objective Digital we use mind mapping for:

  • Strategy planning
  • To do lists
  • Information architecture
  • Brainstorming
  • Proposals
  • Planning and documenting reports for export to Word
  • Presentations.
