I hope that we all agree that, from a user’s perspective, ’search’ really means ‘find’? Have you ever tried to ‘find’ a particular friend on facebook with the advanced search engine? Well, it’s hard. Particularly if your mate has a common name, hasn’t completed their profile or didn’t use their real name when they signed up…
I have found that it is actually easier to ‘find’ friends through my network. You think of who they know and see if they are connected. Indeed you often find other people too!
